Home For A Month

I arrived in Amsterdam June 18th in the afternoon. After some delays in Seattle, and confusion in Iceland, I finally made it. There was a driver waiting at the airport and he took me to my temporary apartment and gave me the key. I took this video shortly after arriving, you can see that I haven't even unpacked yet.

It's a great location, on Looiersgracht, very close to the office, and surrounded by many bars and restaurants that I have yet to try out. The place has a great view of the canal, and the construction eye-sore you see in the video is no longer there, making the view even more beautiful.

After dropping off my bags I went on an immediate hunt for money and a bike. Within a couple hours I managed to find a map, an ATM, haggle over a bike that I now proudly own, and go grocery shopping. Grocery shopping—still figuring that one out.
